About me
I’ve been working as a freelance interior designer since 2010.
As Head of Design & Technical, I joined DKG Group-Keller Kitchens in 2018. For the following projects, I oversaw the project team (draftsmen, visualizers, and technical engineers) and delivered the design package for the joinery work (Citywalk Phase 2, Blue Waters apartments, The Address Jumeriah Gate, and Al Zahia Community by Majid Al Futtaim). On the other hand, I informed the project teams of the plans of action and represented the firm in client meetings.
I joined PNC Architect-SOBHA Group in 2016 as a team leader, interior designer, and architect for the Sobha Hartland Phase 2 project (Majan Residential). I attended customer meetings on behalf of the business and updated the project teams on the next steps. I oversaw the project team (draftsmen, visualizers, and technical engineers) at the same time to ensure that the design package was delivered to the highest level within the predetermined timeline and price range. On the other hand, I worked in conjunction with the structural and MEP departments to make sure all project components were well-coordinated.
For the Citywalk Phase 1 & 2 and Bluewaters Projects, I joined in 2015 as an architect, planning & coordination engineer for joinery works. By selecting the most suitable engineering approaches and workflows, and then decomposing the structure and activities for each project stage, I built the project baseline. At the same time, I generated pertinent reports, quickly changed plans, and tracked daily work progress with a problem-solving emphasis. On the other side, I offered project management advice about the state of important activities and project progress.
I relocated to Dubai in 2013 and started working for Subgate Interiors LLC as an architect and interior designer. I created comprehensive architectural shop drawings as well as in-depth interior and furnishing designs. I was in charge of making creative design presentations and talking about them with clients at the same time. On the other side, I worked with the site team, created submissions for approval by various authorities, visualized the design in 3D Max, and made sure that the ongoing work matched the approved shop drawings and was completed within the specified time period.
I became a junior architect for the ARCHI VENTURE company in 2009. Concept designs and thorough interiors/furniture drawings were projects in which I took part. I created a whole set of architectural shop drawings at the same time, developed 3D models, and rendered them.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Damascus University. I’m a Fellow of the Damascus-based Syrian Architecture Committee.
